Hello Neighbors,
Residential neighborhoods are a very vital part of any City. The Suncrest area has been an important neighborhood in Morgantown since its historical beginning over a century ago. Its enduring character has provided a respected anchor in the northern community of Morgantown as our City has grown.
The administrative and service personnel of Morgantown are dedicated to providing professional assistance to support the City, and its neighborhoods. Organizations, such as neighborhood associations, enable City personnel to more effectively serve the residents of a City. The City recognizes the Suncrest Neighborhood Association (SNA) for its key participation in preserving, improving and renewing its community.
It has been a credit to the SNA that regular meetings have been held since it was organized about ten years ago. Such neighborhood meetings are an effective means for the City to define its responsibilities and to assist the neighborhood residents, as the SNA has done so well.
In today's society, a website on the internet is a growing avenue for increased awareness and communications. I applaud this initial effort by the SNA to develop a website.
